Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aksın

Ottoman history researcher. 26 January 1964, born in Elazığ. He graduated from Fırat University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History (1987). He completed his master's degree (1990) and doctorate (1995) at Fırat University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of History. He received the title of associate professor at Fırat University, Department of History. He became a member of the Fırat University Senate (2004) and the director of the Institute of Social Sciences (2004). His area of expertise is 19th century Ottoman social-economic and organisational history. His articles were published in Belleten, Fırat University Institute of Social Sciences, Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Turkish World Studies, Turkish World History journals. He presented papers at national and international conferences and symposiums. He served as a member of the organising committee in various symposiums.
