2 Year Accreditation by FEDEK Accreditation Association

FEDEK Accreditation Association is an independent institution established to improve the quality of higher education and to evaluate the education and training of the departments in the Faculties of Arts and Sciences with "external eyes" with certain criteria and recognised by YÖK. Our department has followed a planned and systematic path within the framework of the criteria of the Self-Evaluation Report consisting of 10 basic and 39 sub-headings determined by FEDEK. At this point, new commissions have been established within our department and some structural arrangements have been made.

The information and documents consisting of the accreditation studies carried out in our department were written by our FEDEK Application Commission and our Self-Evaluation Report was submitted to FEDEK Authorities in July 2023. A new and important stage has begun with the visit of FEDEK Assessors to our Department for field inspection on 26-27-28 May 2024. At this stage, FEDEK Evaluators subjected our Department to a very serious evaluation process with field visits apart from our Self-Evaluation Report. At the end of these processes, Fırat University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History has been accredited by FEDEK Accreditation Association for 2 years. At this point, we would like to thank our academicians, administrative staff and students for their contributions to the accreditation process.
